9:Longest swim and how many hours in the water - English Channel 1985 – 15hrs 3 mins 10:Favorite place you have swam - Catalina Channel 2006
11: Coldest place you have swam and temp - Lake Bala, Wales (3 miles) 9.5c/49F; or Jersey in the Ocean January ’09 & 2010 - 6c/ 42F
12:Roughest swim - Too many to list! But have done many over here!

20: What would you eat and drink during a swim - Maxim supplements, bananas, occasionally - cookies
21:Worst place you have swam - Long Island Sound 2008 – it was a swarm of Lion Mane Jelly fish and horrible. The sea and venue was superb – and there were no jellies in 07 or 09!!
22:Worst injuries – Tendonitis

Food: Fish / Fruits (esp.tropical)
Drink: good Red / Rose wine
Music: Dire Straits/ Beatles/Eagles
Movie: Finding Nemo, all Richard Gere Movies – especially Pretty Woman; Notting Hill;
Holiday destination: USA (love San Francisco and San Diego) - Caribbean

27:Cold water tips - NEVER SWIM ALONE - eat properly at least 2 hours before, keep moving, swim at your own pace…so find a buddy to swim with
28:Toughest competitor - Myself!! I am not really competitive any more…only with myself and want to swim at my best..
29: How much is weight a factor on long distance swims - Logically – the heavier you are the more you have to pull through the water – HOWEVER – it is fitness that matters more…
30:Pet hate - Swimmers who swim alone…and spoil things for others!.
